    On October 15-17, 2021, as part of the II International Award for the best audio recording of works of Russian Academic Music “Pure Sound”, the II International Symposium “The recording industry of Academic Music” will be held in Moscow.

    The event is aimed at practicing sound engineers and sound engineers, employees of sound workshops of music and drama theaters, concert halls, record companies, and film studios.

    A separate part of the program is devoted to education in the field of sound engineering. We invite teachers and students of the directions “Sound Engineering” and “Sound engineering skills” of higher and secondary educational institutions

    Among the speakers of the symposium are world-renowned professionals: sound engineer of Elbphilharmonie (Hamburg, Germany), director, producer, balance specialist of the Polyhymnia International recording company Erdo Groot (the Netherlands); sound engineer of the Moscow Conservatory Mikhail Spassky; professor of the VGIK, the Moscow Conservatory, the Institute of Contemporary Art, chairman of the Guild of Sound Engineers of the Russian Musical Union Maria Soboleva.

    The program of the symposium includes round tables on education in the field of sound engineering, practical aspects of concert sound engineering, algorithms for interaction with composers; master classes on restoration and archiving of sound recordings, mastering, studio sound engineering.

    A unique part of the program is technical tours to the halls and studios of the Moscow Conservatory, the Bolshoi Theater, the Musical Theater, the famous “Tonstudio” of Mosfilm.

    The full-cycle CineLab film studio, which is a permanent partner of the Pure Sound Award, will host master classes on studio recording and mastering for vinyl.

    The bright focus of the symposium is the exhibition of sound equipment, where the partner companies of the Pure Sound award-Sennheiser, Yamaha, Nikfi, Oktava, and others-will demonstrate new products in the field of sound technologies.
